Emraan wants action film with strong script

Emraan wants action film with strong scriptActor Emraan Hashmi, who started his career with action film "Footpath" and moved directly to romance and drama, says he would love to return to the genre, provided he gets a movie with a powerful story and character.

"I would need a character-driven action film," Emraan said here.

"Generally action-driven films are low on story. I ACTUALLY wish to do films where from point A to indicate Z there's a well- etched character and a fair script. Definitely if it's an action film, it needs to be a fair script," he added.

The 32-year-old feels it is necessary for action filmmakers to strike the fitting balance between the stunts and story.

"Action films are high on stunts, spectacle and grandeur and that is the way it is going to be. But I'D want the most productive of both worlds. I MIGHT want the grandeur, I'D want the spectacle within the action film and in addition to an excellent character-driven plot and an excellent story," he added.

The actor spoke at the sidelines of the music launch of his next film "Jannat 2". Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, "Jannat 2" also features Esha Gupta, Randeep Hooda and Imran Zahid.

He can be seen along with his "The Dirty Picture" co-star Vidya Balan again in a comedy film titled "Ghanchakkar". Emraan is confident that the film will break the mildew concerning the genre.

"'Ghanchakkar' is a comedy film, but I NEED to name it only a comedy film because there are particular pre-conceived notions about comedy and this film will break all of those.

"At the similar time, you may be at the floor within the film. It is a very funny film with some thrilling moments and suspense," Emraan said.

Besides "Jannat 2", Emraan is currently busy will multiple projects like "Raaz 3D" and "Shanghai".
