Saif to go back as ‘Agent Vinod’

Saif to return as `Agent Vinod`Saif Ali Khan-Kareena starrer spy film, 'Agent Vinod' would possibly not have created a stir on the box office, but director Sriram Raghavan is upbeat on creating a sequel.

Earlier, even before the movie got released, Saif had said he would make it right into a franchise.

"We are toying with some ideas for the sequel but we have not started writing the script yet. But there are a couple of ideas. As 'Agent Vinod' remains to be running in theatres, we might look ahead to 15 days or so after which begin our work (scripting)," Sriram.

The action-spy film, directed by Sriram released on March 23. Asked if he would repeat the lead pair within the sequel, Sriram said, "Saif could be there within the second instalment as 'Agent Vinod'. The tale would move to different places but eventually India would also join the plot. It'd be just like the Bond series."

"Other characters would change. Also, after we finish writing the script we might call to mind which characters to retain and which not," he said. Also, the director has learnt his lessons.

"We have gotten an excellent response. The realm where we have to improve is length. Because it is a fast-action-spy movie, we have to reduce its length. Within the next series, we might ensure the length is of 2 hours only," Sriram said.
