He earned the tag of the No.1 actor after a string of flicks like "Coolie No.1", "Hero No.1", "Aunty No.1", "Anari No.1" and "Beti No.1", but Govinda says it's hard to be numero uno relating to being a father or a husband.
"In real life, I BELIEVE you must remain yourself as a father, husband and that is the reason an excessive amount of to balance. It is rather difficult to stay No.1 as a fair husband and father in real life. There may be more exertions in that," Govinda said.
The 48-year-old married Sunita in 1987, and has two children -- Narmada and Yashvardan.
"Professionally, you simply work. But on an individual level, you're emotionally attached to everything. Being a successful son is a large challenge. I thank god, who gave me the chance to experience it," said the actor, who has dedicated over 25 years of his life to Bollywood.
He also has his parents to thank.
"I have come some distance within the film industry. It's all as a result of blessings of my mother and father," he said.
Govinda's first film "Ilzaam" released in 1986. From then on, there has been no on reflection for the actor, who established himself with movies like "Shola Aur Shabnam", "Aankhen", "Saajan Chale Sasural", "Dulhe Raja" and his "No.1" projects.
"It begun from 'Ilzaam' and there has been gradual growth in my career. I continuously got to work and success kept coming my way. I THINK great and blessed," he said.
Prior to the 2007 comedy film "Partner", Govinda witnessed a chronic period of ill luck in films and politics. But even now, he prefers to not look back at those times.
"The smartest thing about it isn't to have a look at it. When you look down on the situation, then it makes you're feeling more conscious and that doesn't work. (One should) Take a look at the similar situation to bring a metamorphosis and create a brand new world how you want," he said on a good note.
For now, he's just revelling in his overall success within the industry.
"There are just advantages in being an actor. The drawback is you need to deal with yourself always. But life is a learning experience. One can not lose their balance and understand where you will have come from, after which understand where you've reached after such hard work," he said.
