Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who co-owns an Indian Premier League (IPL) team, believes that releasing films through the tournament is a risk that he would never take.
"If someone is releasing it (a film), they know what they're doing. But I MIGHT actually think twice, especially in the course of the tournament.
In the start yes, you'll take a chance, but not within the middle and not on the end, I WOULD NOT release a film," the 46-year-old, who co-owns Kolkata Knight Riders, said here on the unveiling of Nokia brand campaign for IPL 5.
"If you'll analyze it some persons are releasing their films, yes they're taking a possibility for the reason that matches happen mostly 8-11 in order that show will also be affected if it's a very powerful match. I'D give it some thought if I'M releasing a movie as a producer," he added.
Shah Rukh says there are filmmakers, who hold back films and choose on releasing them post-IPL.
"People do watch for IPL. Post-IPL has become a period where people assume that there's a want of flicks and you'll release your film once the season gets over. In order that tells you that may be crucial part where people hold back their films," Shah Rukh said.
Shah Rukh is back from London after a shooting schedule for Yash Raj's untitled film, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
